Aspergers K-W Support Network

Mission

The mission of the Aspergers K-W Support Network is to provide support for those with Asperger's Syndrome in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. This support will focus on, though is not necessarily limited to, group meetings that will give adults with Asperger's Syndrome the opportunity to meet with each other.

The Aspergers K-W Support Network will also be working to provide information and education to promote awareness and understanding of Asperger's Syndrome. Information and education will be part of the advocacy wing of our mission. In the near future we will have a newsletter available here on our website. We will also be working to build bridges to teenagers with Asperger's and their parents to help in the transition from adolescence and services to adulthood where there is a tremendous lack of service and support.

Asperger's Syndrome Activity Group

The activity group began meeting in May 2008. Please check back for up-coming meeting dates and information. More details about this group will be made available here in the near future. Those adults with Asperger's Syndrome who come out to the group, contact us, and/or join and participate on our message forum here will be able to help determine how this group will work and how what activities this group will do.
